DUBAI – A landmark partnership between UAE-based Park Group and Saudi Arabia’s EQ Holding, led by Ehsan Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, Chairman of Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, has been announced to develop a serviced apartment tower in Makkah.

The high-rise project, strategically located in the Al Jummayzah district close to Masjid Al-Haram, is set to bring 126 new studio apartments to one of the world’s most visited cities.

Who will benefit from it?

The tower, designed as a ground-plus-18 structure, will cater to the millions of pilgrims who visit Makkah annually for Hajj and Umrah. With serviced apartments in consistently high demand near Islam’s holiest site, the development is positioned as both a spiritual and investment opportunity. Its design will focus on modern interiors, efficient layouts, and facilities that blend convenience with comfort.

Ehsan Abdul Samad Al Qurashi commented on the project, saying: “We have always been proud of our legacy in Saudi Arabia, and this collaboration with Park Group strengthens our mission to deliver world-class projects that enrich the Kingdom. This project in Makkah reflects our deep respect for the city’s significance and our commitment to meeting the needs of its millions of visitors.”

Growing hospitality demand

The development is expected to address Makkah’s rapidly growing need for accommodation, particularly during peak religious seasons. With millions of worshippers travelling from across the globe, demand consistently outpaces supply in the city’s hospitality market. By combining the expertise of a Saudi powerhouse and a UAE developer, the project reflects the Gulf’s trend towards cross-border partnerships aimed at enhancing infrastructure for religious tourism.

Industry analysts note that the project is part of a broader push to expand high-quality lodging in Makkah, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to support its Vision 2030 goals of strengthening tourism infrastructure. The collaboration underscores a long-term strategy to deliver modern solutions that keep pace with visitor growth while respecting the city’s cultural and spiritual importance.
